A Tower Of Crows are a Coventry based band that started in 2013, with just three members, Jay Hughes, Wayne Turner and Lea Cross. Then in November and December 2013 Sam Clay and Steve Hands joined the club and then everything for them just took off.
After their first gig at the Dog in Coventry they got invited to play the Gods of Rock competition and after winning their heat and then winning the final on their third gig in front of a packed crowd, wowing the judges from TBFM & Kerrang they arrive where they are today.
Just three month since their first gig signed to TBFM Records and supporting some fantastic bands and supporting Balls Deep during their recent tour.
They as a band are still unsure of what they sound like though they have been likened to Sabbath, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Clutch etc so it looks like they have a stoner feel with maybe a hint of doom.
As for their influences, well there are just far too many to mention but here are just a few that at least one of them at some point has been influenced by: Black Sabbath, Pantera, Guns’n’ Roses, Tool, Faith No More, Down, Led Zeppelin, Black Label Society, Deftones and Pearl Jam,the list goes on.
Sam Clay – Vocals
Jay Hughes – Guitar
Steve Hands – Guitar
Lea Cross – Bass
Wayne Turner – Drums
They now release their first ever single and compliment that with a video release of their very addictive song 'Livewire'. Johnny Doom likened the band to American stoner rock band Kyuss when he featured the new track on Planet Rock recently and Jon Seymour of TBFM Radio said “This track is like a bulldozer, it moves along at a slow and steady pace, and will just about roll over anything in it’s path.” The track is available free from the band's website.
