Maple Metal Records Presents: SuddenFlames - Under The Sign Of The Alliance (2014)

SuddenFlames is a Heavy Metal/Power Metal band from Quebec City in Canada, established in 2001 by front-man Jean-Robert Letarte and bassist Pascal Lacombe, and they quickly recruited two guitarists and a drummer. Finally in 2011 after a few member changes, SuddenFlames settled on the line-up that recorded their debut album ‘Death Might Be Late’, which was remastered and released in 2013. The line-up listed below is the same one that is responsible for both albums including ‘Under The Sign Of The Alliance’.

Jean-Robert Letarte - Vocals
Sébastien Latulippe – Guitars / Vocals
Daves Couture - Guitars
Pascal Lacombe - Bass
Nicolas Blanchet - Drums

In recent years, SuddenFlames have shared the stage with such acts as Dragonforce, Stratovarius, Kamelot, & Raven, and supported Paul Di'Anno (ex-Iron Maiden) on a 7 City Canadian Tour in 2007.

The sound of SuddenFlames is influenced by traditional Power Metal bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray, and Hammerfall. The members of the band are big fans of Old school Metal like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and one can hear it. Melodies and musical structure are typically European but with a strong American thrash sound.

‘Under the Sign of the Alliance’ was produced by Patrice Dalpé and SuddenFlames at SF Studio in Quebec City, and mastered by Pierre Rémillard (Anvil, Kataklysm, Voivod) at Wild Studio, north of Montreal.

SuddenFlames have released a video for the track ‘Warrior Of Hell’, from their second album, ‘Under The Sign Of The Alliance’, released via Maple Metal Records. The video was filmed in partnership with Voodoo Paintball & Univers Paintball of Quebec City, Canada.

There are also videos for ‘Gabriel’s Quest’ 'Pilgrims Of Steel' ‘Under The Sign Of The Alliance’ from the new album.
